  Attend this POGIL workshop if you would like to learn effective instructional techniques, see POGIL in action, participate in student-centered activities, and network with other educators. Participants who attend this workshop will be able to: articulate fundamental POGIL principles, articulate several possible student gains from being in a POGIL classroom, and to develop an understanding of the effectiveness of the POGIL methodology.

  From New York City and Points West
  
  Take I-95 North through Connecticut. Once inside Rhode Island, take exit #3 for Route 138 East. Follow Route 138 and the signs to Newport. Route 138 will cross the Newport Bridge ($2 toll). Bear left at the end of the Newport Bridge, following the signs for Cape Cod. At your first stop light, across from the Newport Grand, turn right. Proceed a quarter mile to the traffic rotary. Halfway around the rotary, bear right and exit. Follow the signs to Gate #1 of Naval Station Newport.
  
  From the greater Boston area and Points North
  
  Take Route 24 South, following the signs for Newport. Route 24 South will become Route 114 South. Stay on Route 114 South for approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto Coddington Highway. Stay on Coddington Highway until you come to a traffic rotary. Take the first right after entering the rotary and follow the signs to Gate #1 of Naval Station Newport.
  
  From Providence / T.F. Green Airport
  
  Take I-95 South. Take exit #9 onto Route 4 South. Stay on Route 4 South for approximately 11 miles. Exit onto Route 138 east and follow the signs for Newport. Route 138 will cross the Newport Bridge ($2 toll). Bear left at the end of the Newport Bridge, following the signs for Cape Cod. At your first stop light, across from the Newport Grand, turn right. Proceed a quarter mile to the traffic rotary. Halfway around the rotary, bear right and exit. Follow the signs to Gate #1 of Naval Station Newport.
  
  From Gate #1 to the Naval Academy Preparatory School
  
  Proceed through Gate #1 from Training Station Road. Turn right at Perry Road, which is the first intersection. Veer right onto Weenachasett and cross the bridge. At the end of the bridge, Weenachasett turns into MeyerKord Avenue. Proceed straight on MeyerKord Avenue, which will eventually curve to the left. At Whipple Street, turn left. The parking lot for Perry Hall is directly on your right.
